The Role

The Lead Software Engineer position would give you responsibility for taking a project from its inception through to final commissioning. This will include documentation, testing, validation and customer support. You will write the initial specifications, complete the PLC software design, be involved with in-house testing, configuration and seeing the project through to completion on the customer site.

As this is a Lead role you would be taking the lead on multiple projects, and be involved in mentoring other engineers. If you’re looking for a role which gives you more autonomy, authority and responsibility then this position will be well suited for you.

Skills Required

*PLC programming, experience with at least 2 of the following PLC systems:  Siemens, Rockwell, ABB, Schneider.

*Experience of delivering projects in the field.

*Experience of working for a system integrator or in the automation industry.

*Strong communication at the various levels of a project).

*Very strong customer liaison skills
