THE ROLE
For one of our clients in Berlin, we are looking for an experienced IT Lead/IT Specialist/IT Administrator (m/w/d). As IT Lead (m/f/d), you’ll devise and implement the company’s guidelines for a secure and user-friendly IT operation. You will align with the departments, gather their perspectives and requirements, and find ways to align them with necessary measures to keep our IT system secure and running. You will also act as the contact person for IT- and data security questions from our customers, and inform decisions in the tech and product teams accordingly.
To succeed in this role, you have experience with best practices and regulations for IT security, know the needs of a software organization, and find ways to establish security measures while not breaking developer workflows.
RESPONSIBILITIES
– Establish and introduce best practices for secure office IT management (password managers, account management, 2FA, etc.) and pragmatic IT governance
– Identify, collect, and integrate requirements from our different departments
– Find the sweet spots of fulfilling necessary precautions with ease of use and developer workflows
– Instruct and manage potential working students or interns, midterm manage the small internal IT team
– Be the contact person for IT troubles within our company, delegate where possible
– Own processes with 3rd party service providers e.g. in the context of certification and regulatory compliance (ISO, GDPR, etc.)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
– 3+ years of experience in office IT setups in small to medium-sized companies
– Fluent in English
– Hands-on mentality and an enabling mindset
– Excellent understanding of IT network infrastructure
– Solid understanding of cloud security and administration
