Your mission

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will work in our HQ in the heart of Berlin in one of our autonomous teams, closely together with our cross-functional tech team to ensure the scalability, automatization and development of our infrastructure. Your role

*Planning, setup, and maintenance of GotPhoto’s portal infrastructure, as well as other products

*Support and continuous enhancement of software development infrastructure: continuous integration and delivery, databases, cloud services, systems monitoring, etc

*Continual automation of our testing, building, and deployment infrastructure

*Analysis of product performance and cloud-based monitoring

*Taking the part of the software delivery cycle and manage the way releases are delivered to the customers

*Owns backend systems such as our in-house sharded MySQL solution Docstore, MyRocks, and other infrastructure components necessary to deploy and run databases at scale

*Write code for production automation to help manage complex database deployments

*Develop and maintain SLO measurement and accounting tools and processes

*Develop capacity plans, debug production issues and work on improving performance and efficiency throughout the stack

*Collaborate with others, both from Core Storage and from application engineering teams, to ensure that the infrastructure we are building works seamlessly and best serves application engineers

*Share an on-call rotation and be an escalation contact for database platform incidents

Skills we are looking for

*Expert with relevant AWS services (certified either AWS SysOps-Administrator or AWS Developer)

*Expert with Docker and experience with Kubernetes

*High-end professional experience in the last 3-4 yrs

*Strong knowledge of Linux OS (Amazon Linux, Debian, Alpine)

*Knowledge of network design, configuration, and administration

*Passionate about technology, keeping up-to-date with new trends and practices

*Education with IT focus

*Knowledge of the following technologies: Configuration Management (eg, Chef, Ansible), Logging (eg Graylog), Application Performance Monitoring (eg Newrelic), Monitoring (eg Cloudwatch, Grafana), Database technologies (MySQL, DynamoDB)

*Experience with PHP is a plus

*Reliability, team spirit, flexibility, and quality awareness

*Excellent language skills in English

*Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write detailed technical documents

*Teamwork skills (responsible, communicative, reliable, respectful, listening, helpfulness)
